DESIGN INTENT
What does it mean to exist in between?
This project explored the idea of floating as both a physical sensation and an emotional state. Inspired by the ambiguity of in-between moments- between movement and stillness, reality and imagination; we sought to materialize this feeling through Mixed Reality. By examining immersive and emotionally resonant experiences, we investigated how environments can evoke wonder, introspection, and a sense of suspension.

DEVELOPMENT
The experience unfolded through the layering of physical and virtual worlds.
Developed collaboratively, the installation combined handcrafted physical elements with light, sound, projection mapping, material exploration, and Augmented Reality. Together, these sensory layers blurred the boundaries between tangible and digital space, creating an environment that invited visitors to slow down, explore, and drift between realities.

RESOLUTION
Floating emerged not as a place, but as an experience.
Visitors described feelings of wonder, calm, and transformation as they moved through the installation. The project demonstrated how mixed reality can extend beyond technology to create deeply emotional and embodied experiences. Through the interplay of physical making and digital immersion, the installation transformed the act of floating into a shared moment of reflection and discovery.
