DESIGN INTENT
Grounding urban vision in research, context, and climate.
This project involved the comprehensive planning of the Muscat Business District, developed in collaboration with a government body. It required extensive site analysis, contextual research, and strategic zoning to establish a strong planning framework before advancing into formal design development. The objective was to shape a future-ready district grounded in Muscat’s environmental conditions, urban context, and long-term growth vision.

DEVELOPMENT
From macro-scale planning to detailed technical articulation.
I contributed to the 2D development of the urban planning proposal, translating research insights into structured zoning, circulation strategies, and spatial organization. The process required navigating complexity at multiple scales-balancing overarching masterplan logic with precise technical drafting. In parallel, I conducted in-depth research on climate-responsive landscaping strategies suited to Muscat’s arid conditions, proposing planting and environmental solutions aligned with both sustainability and user comfort.

RESOLUTION
A technically rigorous proposal shaped by research and precision.
The final urban planning package reflected a layered approach—where strategic zoning, infrastructural logic, and environmental responsiveness worked cohesively. This project significantly strengthened my drafting proficiency, analytical thinking, and ability to operate within large-scale systems while maintaining attention to minute detail.
